Being a classically trained veteran of music hall Daniel Jonah complained that he
never truly felt at home working at Whiskerino Productions. This probably explains
why he only appeared in two films with the studio. He had a wealth of experience
which was never tapped whilst he was at the studios. |

| Jonah played the role of Flim Flam the odd job man / entrepreneur man who caused
so much trouble for Bar Keep and the Transelvationers in the Horror
Canon. Friends say that he enjoyed the role, but felt unimpressed by the level
of professionalism displayed by his fellow actors. His stunt double came in for
particular criticism and seldom worked again. |

For years it was thought that he had choreographed the dance routine he did in The
Curse of the Mummy's Comb. Recently uncovered records point to a dance
instructor who worked at director Sid Kick's local laundrette as the source of the dance
steps. Jonah did however perform the routine entirely by himself. |

He left the studio disillusioned shortly after the completion of
filming on The Curse of the Mummy's
Comb. Jonah told friends that he wanted to begin a new life for
himself in China.
At the request of PDA Kirwan he
returned briefly for a cameo in Hired Spirits in 1962. |
