Prolific behind and in front of the camera Anthony Trenchwood grew to be an important player in the studio. Trenchwood joined the studio in 1936 for Beards-a-blazing in which he starred opposite PDA Kirwan. The pair were to form a comic double act, culminating in their portrayal of Dr F and Egor in Wanted: Body Parts, from the Horror Canon. |

| Trenchwood played a variety of roles at Whiskerino, but is best remembered as the original mad scientist Dr F. He portrayed him twice in the Horror Canon (alongside PDA Kirwan's Egor - pictured right), and reprised the characterisation for Hired Spirits. He often said that Dr F was the best role he ever got to play. |

Having worked briefly on the radio and as a writer Trenchwood fell to acting to help finance his love of motor racing. After a period of success both on the track and on the screen Trenchwood retired from racing and threw himself wholeheartedly into film production. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Trenchwood's success with Whiskerino Productions continued behind the camera too. He produced three of the studio's features and co-wrote another two. His finest moment came when he wrote and directed fan favourite Hired Spirits, the last hit the studios had. |
